Special Report: Pure Hydrogen has started 2025 with a bang, securing a purchase order from global logistics provider TOLL Transport for the delivery of two Taurus 70t hydrogen fuel cell prime movers in Q4 2025.
The order is part of a package agreement valued at over $2m, and highlights the growing sales pipeline for the company’s fleet of HFC and battery electric vehicles heading into 2025.
During October 2024, Pure Hydrogen (ASX:PH2) signed two agreements with Vietnam ASEAN Hydrogen Club, worth ~$9.4m for the supply of zero emissions vehicles with associated hydrogen refuelling infrastructure.
The same type of Taurus prime mover it is supplying to TOLL has also been sold to Victoria’s largest regional urban water corporation Barwon Water and is on trial with PepsiCo.
It has also delivered a HFC waste collection truck to leading Australian waste management company Solo Resource Recovery following the completion of comprehensive vehicle testing.
Other sales include two BEV mini-buses worth $700,000 to Sapphire Coast Buslines in Western Australia.
“We are excited to collaborate with TOLL Transport, a forward-thinking company embracing cleaner, greener transport solutions. This partnership is an additional validation of the market responding to Pure’s net-zero approach to the medium-duty commercial vehicle industry,” PH2 managing director Scott Brown said.
“Orders and our sales pipeline are now accelerating as we witness strong interest from both government and corporate customers, including Asia, Europe and North America.
“The deployment of the Taurus prime movers exemplifies our mission to deliver high-performance, reliable, and sustainable transport solutions to meet the demands of modern logistics.
“Furthermore, it underlines the growing traction that Pure Hydrogen and HDrive are establishing in the market for our leading range of commercial transport vehicles.
“We look forward to providing more updates on our vehicle sales pipeline in the months ahead, as we build momentum in our stated strategy to transition from vehicle development and testing to sales and revenue growth.”
The sales agreement for two Taurus prime movers – which are the largest clean energy trucks available for Australian roads with the ability to transport 70 gross tonnes – is hugely positive for another reason.
It provides PH2 with a foot in the door of a major integrated logistics services provider, offering warehousing, sea, air, road and rail freight services in Australia and internationally.
Melbourne-headquartered TOLL employs ~16,000 team members and operates across 150 countries to support more than 20,000 customers.
PH2 believes the agreement helps put it in a great position to secure further purchase orders in the near future.
