Special Report: Pure Hydrogen continues to expand its reach with the execution of an agreement with Hydrogen Diesel Electric Australia for distribution of its zero emissions trucks and buses in WA and Queensland.
Under the non-exclusive dealer agreement, which was entered via wholly owned subsidiary Pure One Operations, HDEA will market and distribute the company’s hydrogen fuel cell and battery electric vehicles in the two states along with a potential expansion into New Zealand.
HDEA, which has expertise in low-emission vehicle solutions and commercial fleet distribution, will promote and sell Pure Hydrogen’s vehicles within the agreed territories under the initial five-year deal, which covers purchase orders, delivery, quality assurance, warranties, pricing, and ongoing performance conditions.
It will also leverage its industry networks and market knowledge to expand the reach of Pure Hydrogen’s (ASX:PH2) zero emission trucks and buses to customers across key transport corridors, supporting the transition to cleaner, sustainable commercial transport.
“We are delighted to partner with HDEA as we continue to build out our national dealer network,” PH2 managing director Scott Brown said.
“Their experience in the transport sector and commitment to low-emission technologies will help accelerate the adoption of Pure’s hydrogen and battery electric vehicles, providing customers with sustainable alternatives and supporting our broader goal of expanding clean transport solutions nationwide.”
His counterpart, HDEA managing director Michael Rutherford said his company saw the partnership as a significant milestone.
“By leveraging our industry expertise and lasting customer relationships, we are committed to working with Pure Hydrogen to bring world-class hydrogen technology and battery electric vehicles to fleets in Western Australia and Queensland, accelerating the shift to cleaner, more sustainable transport across key freight and passenger corridors,” Rutherford said.

Growing network
The agreement with HDEA follows on PH2 signing more than $3m in new sales from commercial transport operators in August 2025.
It agreed to sell two of its Taurus HFC prime movers to New South Wales based Scott Lovatt Transport and a second concrete agitator truck to Heidelberg Materials Australia.
The sale of the Taurus prime movers, the first fully registered, Vehicle Type Approved hydrogen vehicles of their kind in Australia, follows on the official handover of a Taurus to Barwon Water in June 2025.
These orders reflect growing interest in zero-emission alternatives to traditional diesel trucks for hauling cargo.
Meanwhile, Heidelberg Materials’ second order could easily lead to significantly more work as the construction materials company has more than 3,600 employees across 300 sites.
