• Pure Hydrogen signs MOU with ARMS Group to distribute and supply hydrogen fuel cell and BEV vehicles
  • ARMS Group controls and manages a group of highly recognised companies in Dubai
  • Anticipated first supply of trucks is set for CY2025

Special report: Pure Hydrogen expects to begin supplying its battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell commercial fleet from CY2025, subject to ARMS Group being satisfied with its due diligence.

Pure Hydrogen (ASX:PH2) is looking to make its mark on the hydrogen industry with a staged, multi-channel approach involving the development of the East Coast Hydrogen Superhighway.

Another element is its plan to set up numerous smaller operations such as ‘green hydrogen micro hubs’ to prove the technology and pair it with hydrogen appliances before gradually building towards large-scale projects that can be used domestically.

PH2 has also recently been expanding the sales pipeline for its HFC Taurus prime mover, garbage trucks and box trucks which provide zero CO2 emissions and the ability to refuel quickly.

Supplying ZEVs to UAE from 2025

In another major win as an established first mover, the company has signed an MOU with ARMS Group which will see PH2 set up distribution and sell its Taurus Prime Mover, hydrogen fuel cell garbage trucks and box trucks to the UAE market.

ARMS Group is a diversified group in the UAE recognised for its specialisation in waste management, manufacturing, services and trading, and real estate among other industries.

Under the MoU, PH2 expects to begin supplying its battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles from CY2025, subject to ARMS Group being satisfied with due diligence.

The UAE Net Zero by 2050 initiative is a national drive to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, making the UAE the first Middle East and North African nation to set that target.

Collaboration on hydrogen solutions

“This MoU sets out the framework for a comprehensive hydrogen vehicle supply and hydrogen equipment as part of the UAE government’s stated priority to implement clearn energy alternatives,” PH2 managing director Scott Brown says.

“The completion of the MoU follows an extensive period of negotiation and collaboration between the parties, and we look forward to working together to implement hydrogen solutions.”

ARMS Group chairman Abdulrahman Albaidhaei says the company is thrilled with this collaboration with Pure Hydrogen.

“We are excited about the beneficial impact our joint decarbonisation efforts will have in the UAE and GCC region, and value the rigorous work and talks that led to the signing of this MOU.”
