With interest building in the crypto space, Lachlan Murdoch’s Sydney-based communications company NOVA Entertainment is the latest to jump on board.

The owner of the Nova FM and smoothfm radio networks is launching a crypto podcast, Decoding Crypto, that aims to demystify the asset class.

The podcast will be hosted by YouTubers Justin Baldori of Melbourne and Jason Pizzino of the Gold Coast.

“With Australians increasingly looking to take control of their financial future, there is a natural curiosity about digital assets like Bitcoin as an alternative investment opportunity,” said Kane Reiken, NOVA Entertainment’s digital commercial director.

“This podcast aims to take the mystery out of it, giving listeners the knowledge to help them take their first steps in capitalising on this evolving landscape.

“We know there is already a wealth of expertise within podcasting, so we’re excited to bring something unique to the space, built specifically for beginners. Decoding Crypto an easily digestible way for a new generation of investors to get up to speed in a simple and engaging format.”

Baldori, 25, has an engaged following on TikTok and YouTube, Nova said. He currently works full time in the aviation sector.

“It’s an exciting space that can be quite difficult for young people to learn about, so this podcast will be a great stepping stone to share insights and learnings from our journey,” he was quoted as saying in Nova’s announcement.

Pizzino has over 200,000 subscribers on YouTube for his personal finance and investing channel “the Investor Accelerator”.

Nova said that Pizzino entered the property market in 2006 and learned how to trade commodities and stocks using technical and fundamental analysis, knowledge he shares with his followers.

“Many new crypto investors may be in it for the massive financial gains, however, without a core belief in what you are doing, it is hard to stick to once the profits quickly turn into losses,” Pizzino said in the announcement.

“This podcast will share the core beliefs of bitcoin and cryptocurrency so people can begin their journey to financial freedom.”

Sponsored by digital exchange platform Zipmex, the podcast launched today. Episodes can be found here or “wherever you access your podcasts,” Nova said.
