Melbourne-based technology consulting company Asta Solutions has become the latest Australian company to offer its employees the opportunity to be paid in Bitcoin.

Asta last week announced on its Linkedin page it had teamed with Tasmanian-based company Get Paid in Bitcoin to allow employees to receive a percentage of their salary in BTC.

Asta has 120 employees listed on Linkedin, working out of offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland.

The company offers clients IT security services, cloud solutions, and the creation of cryptocurrencies.

Get Paid in Bitcoin mostly focused on individual customers, letting them receive a fraction of their wages in Bitcoin by supplying the Get Paid in Bitcoin’s bank account details to their corporate pay office.

But the company tweeted it hadbeen building a solution for corporate Australia – A solution that will allow businesses to pay all of their staff in #Bitcoin without additional compliance or regulatory complications.”

Other Australian companies that let their employees in Bitcoin include Finder, crypto bill payment company Living Room of Satoshi and BTC Markets, the Sydney Morning Herald reported in May.

Living Room of Satoshi recently launched a similar service, allowing workers to receive their after-tax pay in BTC by giving their employer the Brisbane-based company’s bank details.

Over 18,000 customers have used Living Room of Satoshi’s bill-pay service to pay more than 200,000 BPay bills, the company says.
