Andrew Smith - Managing director
Highly experienced mining executive, Andrew Smith, was appointed on 31 July 2024 with a proven track record in the mining industry. Ranging from early-stage discovery through to feasibility studies and development projects around the world, including Australia, Africa, Czech Republic and most recently the UK, Andrew’s most recent success was as CEO of British Lithium, which he founded in 2017.
A Bachelor of Engineering & Bachelor of Commerce with First Class Honours from Sydney University underpins Andrew’s formal education. He has also studied at the National Institute of Space in Virginia.

Chris Shanley - Exploration Manager
Chris joined Zenith Minerals Limited on 27 March 2023 as the company’s Exploration Manager. Graduating with a BSc Hons (Geosciences), Chris holds a Master‘s degree in Economic Geology from CODES/UTAS and has 15 years mineral exploration focused experience in Australia.
He was previously employed as Senior Exploration Geologist at Regis Resources overseeing the exploration program covering the Duketon Greenstone Belt and was Project Exploration Geologist at both Gold Fields’ (Granny Smith Mine) and for Saracen, working in the Laverton and Carosue Dam districts respectively.

Andrew Grove - Non-executive director
Andrew joined Zenith Minerals on 14 December 2023 and brings considerable corporate and technical expertise, as well as substantial project finance, risk management and capital markets experience to the company.
With over 30 years’ experience in the global resources sector he most recently, as Managing Director at Chesser Resources Limited, elicited a successful takeover by Fortuna Silver Mines with a 95% premium.
Andrew spent 14 years at Macquarie Bank as Division Director – Mining Finance and Risk Management and holds a Masters in Mineral Economics and a Bachelor of Engineering (Minerals Exploration and Mining Geology).
