Red Metal’s objective is to capture the capital growth that comes with discovery of a giant Tier 1 or Tier 2 mineral asset in Australia which may add anywhere from $300M to $3Bn in value. Our key focus has always been copper in the fertile Proterozoic terrains of Australia but we remain open to the search for other commodities in these terrains and take pride in being first movers on more remote frontier regions which have had very little exploration.
We utilise advanced exploration models and apply innovative new thinking together with proven leading-edge technologies to generate a range of exciting drill targets and aim to test a large number of proof-of-concept targets.
We regularly share the exploration risk and reward under alliance and joint venture arrangements which have the benefit of increasing exploration expenditure and where appropriate, establish funding arrangements that allow Red Metal to retain a maximum interest at the point of discovery.
The success of Red Metal’s strategy and innovation was recently underlined with the discovery of a completely new, previously unrecognised, REO deposit style on the Sybella project in the Mount Isa region where Red Metal has a long history of base metal exploration. Sybella is a giant, low-temperature acid soluble, REO deposit hosted with a granite and is a new REO deposit style for Australia and potentially a “world first.”
