RareX (ASX:REE) is a rare earths company focusing on developing the Cummins Range Project in Western Australia which it acquired in September 2019.
The Cummins Range Project is located 130km southwest of Halls Creek in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia and is one of two known rare earth bearing carbonatites in Australia with the other being Mt Weld owned by Lynas Corporation Ltd.
Cummins Range has potential for high Neodymium and Praseodymium (“NdPr”) enrichment which are critical elements in the manufacture of rare earth permanent magnets used in electric vehicles, wind turbines and advanced weapon systems.
KEY PEOPLE
Shaun Hardcastle - Chairman
Mr Hardcastle has over 10 years’ experience as a corporate and finance lawyer and extensive experience in corporate governance, risk management and compliance. He has been involved in a broad range of cross-border and domestic transactions including joint ventures, corporate restructuring, project finance, resources and asset/equity sales and acquisitions. Mr Hardcastle has practiced law both in Australia and overseas and is a partner at Bellanhouse Lawyers. Shaun is currently a non-executive director of ASX listed companies Hawkstone Mining Limited (ASX: HWK) and Schrole Group Limited (ASX: SCL).
Jeremy Robinson - Executive Director
Jeremy (BCom) has worked in both the capital markets and in-house for junior and mid-cap mining companies for the past 15 years. His roles have included: Company Secretary, Commercial Manager, Chief Financial Officer, investor relations, corporate development and business development. His current role has been with the establishment of junior explorer Marindi Metals Limited (ASX: MZN) helping it evolve from a single project private company to a multi-project ASX-listed public company operating in Australia and raising approximately $20m over the last four years. Prior to Marindi, he was involved in the $156m IPO of Mungana Goldmines Limited (ASX: MUX), which was ultimately acquired by private equity. Jeremy brings a broad range of skills to assist companies in identifying assets and helping them through the listing process.
Scott Patrizi - Non-Executive Director
Scott is a corporate finance professional having been previously employed with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Perth. Scott holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia. During his time at Deloitte, Scott worked across a range of industries including mining, oil and gas, healthcare, education and private equity providing merger and acquisition, valuation and due diligence services.
Prior to Deloitte, Scott worked for Argonaut Limited, a full service advisory, stockbroking & research and investment house focussed on clients in the natural resources sector, where he gained significant equity capital market experience.
