John Byrne | Non-Executive Chairman
John Byrne has 40 years’ experience in the natural resource industry as a financial analyst, investor and mine developer. He has been Chairman and CEO of numerous successful resource companies, including Western Coal Corp which was capitalised at less than C$1 million when he joined, and was sold for C$3.3 billion in 2010.
Beginning with net assets of GBP£1.4 million in 2002, John established and mentored Cambrian Mining Plc, which amassed net assets of GBP£149 million prior to its acquisition in 2008.
John is currently a Chairman of Lions Bay Capital Limited and Fidelity Minerals Limited, both of which are listed on the Toronto Ventures Exchange. He is also a director of unlisted companies in Australia.
Richard Brescianini | Non-executive Director
Richard commenced his career in mineral exploration with BHP Minerals in 1987 working in teams focused on the discovery of base and precious metal deposits across Australia and North America from offices in Brisbane, Perth, Toronto and Denver.
His experience was broadened during his time working as the Director of the Northern Territory Government’s Geological Survey in Darwin, and being part of the executive management team for rare earths developer, Arafura Rare Earths.
Richard was the Executive Director of HRE from the company’s listing in September 2022 until May 2025.
Gabriel Chiappini | Non-Executive Director
Gabriel Chiappini is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience as a director, capital markets participant and a governance professional. He is a current member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Institute of Chartered Accountants (Australia).
Mr Chiappini manages his own consulting firm offering Corporate Advisory, Governance Services, and Non-executive Director services to a variety of ASX and start-up companies. He has provided advice and services on equity raisings exceeding AUD$850m, debt financing in excess of AUD$350m and assisted his clients with both divestment and acquisition strategies. Recently he managed and assisted with the vending in of seven ASX IPO’s and RTO’s.
Gabriel has had a diverse and successful career as an ASX/public company director inclusive of Chairman, Non-executive Director and Finance/Chief Financial Officer roles, and Chair of Governance. He has a wide range of offshore corporate structuring experience in the USA, Europe and in the Middle East and is a current director of Black Dragon Gold Corporation (ASX:BDG) and Invictus Energy Limited (ASX:IVZ), as well as Head of Governance (Australia) for Adriatic Metals plc (ASX:ADT).
Joseph Ogierman | Exploration Manager
South Australian-based geologist Joseph Ogierman holds extensive experience managing exploration programs across four continents throughout a career spanning nearly 40 years.
Ogierman holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Adelaide, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists and the Australian Geological Association.
Ogierman’s past work has seen him contribute to discoveries that have gone on to build the basis of mining projects for gold, silver, lead, zinc, copper and manganese.
His latest work has turned his focus towards uranium systems in South Australia.
