Greenvale Energy Limited (ASX:GRV) is an Australian-based junior explorer focused on creating value through prudent and vigorous exploration of its three key projects, which are as follows:
Alpha Torbanite Project
The Alpha Torbanite Project is located approximately 50km south of the Central Queensland town of Alpha. Alpha Torbanite is an organic-rich sedimentary rock formed in a lacustrine (lake) environment which is extremely rich in hydrocarbons and is one on the highest yielding globally. Its exceptionally high-grade, containing up to 650 litres of hydrocarbons per tonne of torbanite, and can produce high-value bitumen binding products. Using liquefaction low emission processing, Greenvale Energy will become Australia’s only end to end producer of bitumen binding products.
Greenvale Helium Project
The Company, subject to governmental approvals, has the right to acquire a 75% interest in EP 145, a potentially ultra-high-grade helium, hydrogen and hydrocarbon project in the Amadeus Basin in Central Australia. A preliminary technical evaluation for EP 145 commissioned by Mosman Oil and Gas Ltd (AIM:MSMN) in 2022 and undertaken by Geognostics Australia Pty Ltd identified favourable scenarios for all three essential play elements related to viable helium and hydrogen plays.
Greenvale Geothermal Project
The Company’s Geothermal Portfolio comprises of four licences currently under application within the central and north-western region of Queensland, Australia. Of the Company’s geothermal licences, three licences are located within the highly prospective Millungera Basin. An independent geothermal study by the Queensland Government in June 2018 has highlighted the Millungera Basin to be the most prospective geothermal site in Australia. The Company is currently assessing the merits for geothermal power generation in the Millungera Basin.
