Conico Ltd (ASX: CNJ) is a mineral explorer with a suite of highly prospective precious and base metal projects across Greenland and Western Australia.
Following Conico’s acquisition of 100% of Longland in 2020, exploration is about to commence at the 4,500 km 2 Ryberg project where drilling at the Miki Prospect will target electromagnetic anomalies and high-grade surface expressions of copper, palladium, gold and also nickel, cobalt and platinum. Sortekap is another important prospect where drilling will focus on the first recorded occurrence of gold mineralisation in the metamorphosed basement rocks of east Greenland. Previous surface rock-chip samples grade up to 2.7g/t with IP surveys identifying significant conductors in the 2020 field season.
The Mt Thirsty Cobalt-Nickel JV (CNJ 50%: BAR 50%) (CNJ operator) is Australia’s most advanced genuine cobalt project with a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) completed in 2020. The Mount Thirsty Project is located 16km northwest of Norseman, Western Australia. The Project is close to all necessary infrastructure (rail, road, power, gas, water, townsite, fibre optic and seaport) and in a mining orientated state. With cobalt prices rising, the JV partners are optimistic of moving this project to the next stage.
