The Unicorns Podcast connects you to some of the best and brightest founders, CEOs, executives, business owners, innovators, entrepreneurs and inspiring leaders who make things happen and inspire others.

Host Justin Kelly, former broadcast journalist and PR veteran, chats with leaders from across Australia and internationally on business strategy; what it takes to build a successful company; how to overcome challenges, and advice for those on a similar journey.

In this episode, Justin talks with Adam Theobald, founder and CEO of hospitality tech ordering platform Ordermentum.

Ordermentum is Australia’s largest wholesale online order management platform for the nation’s food and beverage industry. 34,000 Australian cafes, bars and restaurants have now adopted the fully integrated tech system.

Ordermentum is now one of the largest ecommerce players in Australia having reached the significant milestone of $1 billion in gross merchandise value; a figure that has advanced quickly due to the pandemic.

Digital payments through the platform have increased 153% in the last two years, which founder and CEO Adam Theobald believes was achieved due to the wide adoption of digital innovation through the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company has invested over $25 million into the Australian food & beverage industry to date, backed by key investors Pure Asset Management, Naos Asset Management, Matt Rockman (SEEK co-founder), David Gordon (founder ShippingEasy) and Bosco Tan (Pocketbook co-founder).
