The Unicorns Podcast connects you to some of the best and brightest founders, CEOs, executives, business owners, innovators, entrepreneurs and inspiring leaders who make things happen and inspire others.

Host Justin Kelly – former broadcast journalist and PR veteran – chats with leaders from across Australia and internationally on business strategy, what it takes to build a successful company, how to overcome challenges, and advice for those on a similar journey.

In this episode, Justin interviews Assaf Stizki and Ken Brand, founders of the restaurant intelligence platform Restoke.ai.

Restoke.ai is one of the most effective weapons Australian restaurants and cafes have as they battle rising costs and dwindling customer spending.

The platform automates every aspect of operations, from food costing and inventory to team management and accounting, while providing real-time insights into expenses to help with cost savings and profit growth.

In the four years since it was established, the technology has quickly become a game-changer for the industry and is now used by more than 2,000 restaurants and cafes across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the US.

The Restoke founders reckon that in a few years, no one will be able to imagine running a restaurant without the power of AI, which drives efficiency, customer experience, and decision-making.

VCs are also adopting this view. Restoke has just raised $5 million, led by Rampersand and backed by Mandalay Venture Partners and Archangels, along with US-based VCs BC Growth and Stage2 Capital. The funds will primarily fuel Restoke’s expansion into the US.
