Special Report: Codeifai has enhanced its barcode technology with GSI Digital Link functionality to boost connectivity and customer engagement.
The company’s innovative QR code products safeguard brands, drive engagement and improve operational visibility in the competitive – and high margin – self-service SaaS industry.
Use of the GS1Digital Link on Codeifai’s (ASX:CDE) ConnectQR Platform essentially transforms traditional barcodes into web-enabled smart data carriers, connecting products to rich online information through a single scan.
The update places CDE at the forefront of the global 1D to 2D barcode transition occurring in the global packaging and retail industry, which has set Sunrise 2027 as the milestone date for the adoption of 2D barcodes.
Unlike 1D barcodes, which only provide a static product identifier, 2D QR Codes with GS1 Digital Link connect products directly to point of sale systems and the web, providing rich data for retailers, regulators and consumers alike.
ConnectQR’s SaaS platform provides the tools for this transition – enabling brands to generate compliant codes at scale, dynamically update linked content, and access analytics on consumer engagement and product interaction.

More connectivity more revenue potential
It’s another step towards the company’s expansion into AI and QR code solutions like QuantumAI Secure fund and file transfers with the proposed acquisition of the QuantumAI secure platform from Credissential which should be completed next month.
The company has also been accepted as an Associate Alliance Partner of GS1 Australia, which could provide more revenue opportunities for CDE’s self-service SaaS ConnectQR.
The link will enable brands to generate GS1-compliant 2D codes embedded with product identity, available in the premium ‘Pro’ tier priced at US$34.99 per month.
“The integration of GS1 Digital Link into ConnectQR is a landmark milestone after years of research and development,” CDE’s executive chairman John Houston said.
“It allows customers to seamlessly navigate the global adoption of 2D barcodes while unlocking entirely new channels of consumer engagement and transparency.
“As brands prepare for Sunrise 2027, ConnectQR is uniquely positioned to provide a scalable, standards-compliant, and intelligence-driven solution.”
