333D may have missed the Christmas spending rush, but its announcement yesterday that it had secured an official licence from Cricket Australia to make player figurines will see its characters available for sale at the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.

The company (ASX:T3D) is going to launch its first characters – bobblehead cricketers – at the fourth Ashes test at the MCG, as part of a licence running until June 2019. The deal includes Cricket Australia brands for the Gillette ODI Series, and Gillette International T20 Series.

Australia has already comprehensively wrapped up the five test Ashes series against England, when it defeated the foreigners by an innings and 41 runs in the Third Test in Perth just days before 333D’s announcement.

In September, the company finally nailed down a contract with the AFL, two years after it was first flagged.

It signed a partnership with Richmond AFL player and Brownlow medallist Dustin Martin a few days later.

333D backdoor listed into a failed brewing company in 2016, a year after it started business.

The September quarter was its first cash flow positive period, although it got there thanks to almost $1 million in government grants.

The company had receipts of $149,000 and $811,000 cash in the bank. Outgoings were just over $1 million.

333d shares closed flat at 0.5c on Thursday.
