Titan Minerals appoints new exploration manager to oversee Dynasty gold

Titan Minerals adds geology expertise to its board with the appointment of Pablo Morelli as exploration manager.

Morelli will oversee the company’s exploration strategy and expand upon the discoveries and anomalies within Titan Minerals’ (ASX:TTM) flagship Dynasty Gold Project tenure in southern Ecuador.

As it stands, Titan’s strategy is to expand the Dynasty resource and explore the underlying porphyry potential of the project as well as unlock the epithermal and porphyry potential at the Linderos and Copper Duke projects.

Morelli has over 15 years’ experience working across various epithermal systems on top of copper-molybdenum, copper-gold, and gold-rich style porphyry systems while working with Barrick, Newmont, Kinross, and Rio Tinto.

During this time, Morelli found himself in the Cretaceous, Palaeocene, Eocene-Oligocene and Miocene Belts of northern and central Chile, and Mexico.

‘Invaluable’ experience

TTN managing director Laurie Marsland said: “After visiting our projects and understanding their latent geologic potential, Pablo decided he had to be involved and signed up to join the team,” she said.

“Pablo and our executive vice president exploration, Mike Skead, have previously worked together in South America – their experience identifying and defining epithermal gold and copper porphyry systems will be invaluable in creation of shareholder value.”

Recent work experience

Most recently, Morrelli worked as geology and exploration superintendent on the Norte Abierto Project – a joint venture between Newmonth and Barrick Gold where evaluation was carried out across the Cerro-Casale and Caspiche copper-gold projects.

At Norte Abierto Morrelli was responsible for geological modelling and supervising the resource estimation of the Casale project, working closely with the metallurgy and engineering department.
