Aurora Labs is going to Russia, signing a deal with a distributor to sell their small format 3D printers there.
The deal with Nissa Digispace covers the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) as well, which means the Aussie company could be selling into far flung countries like Kyrgyzstan and Moldova.
“One of Aurora’s current commercial objectives is to continue to commercialise the small format printer, with the cash received from sales used to assist with funding the development of the Medium and Large Format Printers,” said managing director David Budge
The deal is for two years initially, and a possible three year extension after that.
The company said the commercial terms are confidential but “do not deviate significantly from the company’s other distribution arrangements”.
Aurora Labs (ASX:A3D) now sells its printers across Europe, and in India, Nepal, South Korea, and Australia.
The company’s shares rose almost 1 per cent on Friday morning to 65c.
