V-Con is Stockhead’s investing focused video conference series, bringing you expert insights, panel discussions and presentations from leading analysts, listed small caps and industry players.

By now, most investors would be familiar with the global shift of capital flows towards ESG (environmental, social & governance) investments.

It’s a major industry with structural tailwinds, and the opportunities for investors can be company-focused, such as clean energy technology solutions, or new industries such as carbon credits.

In addition, the fields where those shifts are taking place span everything from chemicals to industrial & mining production, to food and agriculture (just to name a few).

But while it’s a major shift in resources and investments, the ESG transition is a generational shift that will undergo plenty of twists and turns as it progresses.

In that context, it’s up to investors to try and ‘cut through the noise’ when allocating capital. Among many companies and funds, who have the technologies and business models to gain traction?

For this V-Con, Stockhead has gained insights from three ASX companies, to get their thoughts on what it takes to build a successful clean energy business.

Complementing the view from the company side is Andy Gracey, portfolio manager at ESG investment group Australian Ethical, for insights on how investors are looking at the space.
