There’s a hint of REE in the air at Errawarra’s Errabiddy project

An independent review of the rare earths (REE) potential at Errawarra Resources’ Errabiddy project has unearthed multiple priority target areas for follow-up.
Errabiddy is in the Gascoyne Region of WA, an area traditionally rich in gold and nickel.
More recently, there is an emerging focus on REE exploration with significant exploration results reported by both Desert Metals and Krakatoa Resources, both close to Errabiddy.
Errawarra Resources (ASX:ERW) reviewed the REE potential of the tenement package based on publicly available information, which identified multiple priority target areas.
These target areas were based on the interpretation of spectral signatures and other factors following a review of remote sensing hyperspectral datasets.
In addition, a review of the GSWA soil sampling dataset reveals several anomalous TREO samples within the project tenements.
“The significance of these soil sample results is not known at this stage but warrants follow-up to determine the source of the anomalous REE results,” Errawarra says.
“As the Errabiddy tenement package is prospective for nickel, gold and REE, the Company will not only be progressing on ground exploration initiatives but will consider joint ventures or other strategic partnerships to enhance the value to shareholders.”
In May, Errawarra finalised the acquisition of the Andover West project in the Pilbara, adjacent to some significant nickel-copper discoveries by Azure Minerals.
The project is also prospective for lithium-bearing pegmatites.
“This is a significant acquisition for the company; with targets to drill, and right next door to Azure’s advanced nickel-copper project, we have the right commodities in the right location and with a strong chance of exploration success,” ERW chair Jonathan Murray said at the time.
An initial 3 hole, 750m program is now about to begin, the company says.
“While the company will investigate its options in respect of the Errabiddy project, it is still focussed on the Andover West project with on-ground activities soon to commence,” it says.
“Heritage surveying is complete with the final report due shortly.
“Once received, track and drill pads will be cleared and with drilling scheduled to commence shortly thereafter.”
