Game on for Critical as it intersects highest visual spodumene at Mavis Lake

Critical has observed visual spodumene in another four step-out drill holes at its Mavis Lake project in Ontario, Canada, that highlights its big lithium potential.
Notably, hole MF22-65 (Hole 6) returned the highest-ever visual intersection of about 40% spodumene within a 3.6m pegmatite interval that also confirms lithium mineralisation is continuous along strike and depth in pegmatite 6.
Along with MFF22-66 (Hole 7) encountering a 6.9m intersection containing about 20% spodumene, Critical Resources (ASX:CRR) has now intersected visual spodumene in eight of the nine holes drilled to date.
This is encouraging as the company has only completed about 20% of its inaugural 5,000m drill program.
“The 40% visual spodumene mineralisation within pegmatite 6 is the highest representation of observed lithium mineralisation to date. We are noticing that pegmatite widths and spodumene mineralisation appear to both increase at depth within pegmatite 6,” managing director Alex Biggs said.
“The down dip and along strike extension of pegmatite 6 will continue to be targeted during this drill program.
“The success we have experienced to date at Mavis Lake continues to demonstrate the quality of the asset, and we are looking forward to further successes as the drill program advances.”
Lithium potential
Mavis Lake is located 19km east of Dryden, Ontario, and is also close to the Trans-Canada highway and railway major transportation arteries linking larger cities such as Thunder Bay, Ontario, to the southeast and Winnipeg, Manitoba, to the west.
The region has excellent infrastructure with hydro-power located a few kilometres to the southwest.
Pegmatites at Mavis Lake are found within the correct zonation for lithium enrichment from the Ghost Lake Batholith, a fertile granite intrusion.
