Drilling continues to prove up the presence of a large gold mineralised system at the Diucon and Eagle areas within De Grey’s Hemi discovery in WA’s Pilbara region.

Results such as 50m at 3 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from a depth of 155m and 53m at 2.4g/t gold from 43m have extended mineralisation in the southern lode of Diucon to the west under sediments.

Meanwhile, consistent mineralisation has been intersected within a broad mineralised zone over the current strike of 600m at Eagle with drilling returning results such as 65m at 1.2g/t gold from 42m and 4m at 11.8g/t gold from 176m.

De Grey Mining (ASX:DEG) managing director Glenn Jardine noted that both Diucon and Eagle remain open to the west towards Antwerp with Eagle also remaining open to the north, offering the capacity to rapidly and cost effectively increase the gold endowment of Hemi with continued drilling.

“Extensional RC drilling to the west is currently being conducted on 160m spaced sections and 80m spaced collars on section. Mineralisation remains open at depth in both zones,” he added.

“Diamond drilling is targeting potential extensions beneath mineralisation previously intersected in RC drilling.

“RC drilling is also being conducted in places at 80m line spacing to confirm continuity of mineralisation within the existing footprint.”

Diucon drilling

Mineralisation at Diucon currently extends for about 900m along strike and plunges to the west beneath sediments.

A recently completed diamond tail that was completed to a depth of 600m has shown visual indications of mineralisation extending below the pre-collar. Assays are pending for this diamond tail.

To date, drilling has defined four subparallel lodes at Diucon.

Diucon and Eagle are immediately west of Crow and could be a potential geological link between the Crow intrusion to Antwerp.

Mineralisation at the two prospects shows similar alteration and sulphide development as seen at the adjacent deposits of Aquila, Brolga, Crow and Falcon.
