Arika Resources discovers 20 gold targets at Yundamindra South

  • Arika finds new gold targets within the “Emerald City” area at Yundamindra South
  • The results expand the potential for new discoveries at the asset in Western Australia
  • Surface geochemical surveys will begin shortly with drilling earmarked for Q1 2026

Special Report: Arika Resources has just opened up a whole new search space at Yundamindra South in WA’s north-eastern Goldfields region, following the interpretation of recently acquired high-resolution Total Magnetic Intensity (TMI) data.

Geophysics has revealed 20 new high-priority gold targets in an area Arika (ASX:ARI) has called “Emerald City”, which until now, had never been assessed using modern exploration techniques.

This new data shows that Yundamindra South sits over a structurally complex mix of volcanic and granitic rocks, and multiple structural breaks, intrusions and disruptions.

Arika has used both regional mineral system models and learnings from its exploration success at Yundamindra North to prioritise targets.

These include granite-hosted gold systems, gold hosted at structural intersections along granite-greenstone contacts and potential magmatic copper-nickel-PGE associated with late-stage mafic intrusions.

Immediate pipeline of new targets

Despite making up almost half of the entire Yundamindra project, Yundamindra South has remained untouched.

Surface geochemical sampling will begin shortly, followed by drilling in the first quarter of 2026 once regulatory approvals are locked in.

In the meantime, drilling continues at Pennyweight Point, where Arika has already completed ~17,000m of RC and diamond drilling, with assays pending on 31 holes.

Arika managing director Justin Barton said the acquisition of this new, high-resolution TMI dataset is like “flicking on a light switch”.

“We can now see with great clarity the geological structures that control the mineralisation, providing Arika with an immediate pipeline of 20 new targets for follow-up exploration,” Barton said.

“These new targets significantly expand the discovery potential within our broader Yundamindra Project area.

“Our exploration team has always had plenty of enthusiasm for the potential of this area, with the survey data clearly supporting this excitement.”

Next exploration phase

Arika is now moving quickly to turn these newly defined targets into drill-ready opportunities.

The next phase of work begins with surface geochemical surveys, scheduled to kick off in the first quarter of 2026.

All of the information gathered so far, including the new magnetic data and results from current drilling, will be used to rank and refine the targets.

The company will also begin testing the newly defined targets along the “Red Brick Road Trend”, an eastern structural corridor highlighted by the recent geophysical work.
