The company says the massive sulphide mineralisation appears to be thickening along the western margin of the Narndee VC1 target with a second drill rig now at site.

Aldoro Resources hit new magmatic sulphides at the VC1 target within the Narndee Igenous Complex, resulting in what the company has described as “one of the best magmatic sulphide” intersections to date.

Drillhole ND0013 has now been completed after intersecting 6.7m of strong magmatic sulphide mineralisation, including 3.75m of massive sulphides in five separate intervals.

Aldoro (ASX:ARN) says the mineralisation appears to be thickening along the western margin of the Narndee VC1 target and aims to achieve a JORC mineral resource at the target.

A second reverse circulation (RC) drill rig is at the site and has begun drilling at VC1.

The Narndee Igneous Complex is 90km south-southwest of Mount Magnet in Western Australia.

VC1 results and drill targeting

Drill hole NDD0009 has also been completed, with notable results of nickel copper sulphides returned:

  • 90.05m – 96.45m, disseminated sulphide;
  • 102.00m – 104.15m, disseminated sulphide;
  • 109.45m – 109.9m, veined sulphide; and
  • 120.1m – 120.65m, disseminated sulphide.

Nickel copper sulphide highlights at ND00013 comprise the following:

  • 265.8m – 270.65m, blebby sulphides;
  • 270.65m – 271.3m, massive sulphide;
  • 271.3m – 271.5m, disseminated sulphide;
  • 271.5m – 271.7m, massive sulphide; and
  • 271.7m – 274.15m, disseminated sulphide.

Aldoro says the sulphide assemblage in order of abundance intersected by the drillholes appears to be pyrrhotite, pentlandite, chalcopyrite, and pyrite.

What’s next?

An RC rig will drill for up to two to three weeks before demobilising to the Niobe Project to complete lithium-rubidium resource drilling at Aldoro’s tenement.

The diamond rig has four holes to drill at VC1, before moving back to VC11 to test an off-hole nickel sulphide target there.

A deep stratigraphic hole is also planned between VC3 and VC11 and a high-power fixed loop electromagnetics (HPFTLEM) survey is now underway, screening for deeper or very conductive targets in the VC1, VC3, and VC11 areas.
