ASX SMALL CAP WINNERS:

Data management solutions provider Mach7 Technologies (ASX:M7T) has hit a ~4 year high after announcing a new contract with US-based Advocate Aurora Health worth a minimum $5.7m over 5 years.

The stock is now up 305 per cent since the start of the year.

And momentum is building for Eden Innovations (ASX:EDE). The company has been filling the order book for its enviro-friendly concrete mixture EdenCrete, and investors love it – sending the stock up over 55 per cent for the week, and 150 per cent over the past month.

Silica sands star VRX Silica (ASX:VRX) is up over 70 per cent for the week.

Last Friday, VRX announced a resource upgrade at its Arrowsmith North project in WA; this week, it has snagged a new partnership with major Chinese glass manufacturer for “promotion and sale of silica sand products in China and sourcing of capital finance for production facilities”.

ASX SMALL CAP LOSERS:

This is a weird one. Sunscreen maker Advance Nanotek (ASX:ANO) received a speeding ticket from the ASX this morning after its share price plummeted from a high of $6.27 to a low of $4.23 over the last few days.

Advance Nanotek has no idea what’s going on, but these share price fluctuations were the results of turnover of less than 1.3 per cent on the total number of shares on issue over the past week, the company says in response.

“The board is not aware of any information given by investment groups or on social media platforms — but for some comments about selling by directors on Hot Copper — relating to the ANO share price decrease,” the company says.

“There has been no trading involving any entities of any of the directors or officers as we are currently in a blackout period.”

But shareholders can’t be too upset – Advance Nanotek has since bounced back in the second half of the day, and is still up 832 per cent over the past 12 months.

What a rollercoaster.
