Junior miners looking for iron oxide copper gold (IOCG) were some of this week’s biggest movers, thanks to news that $156 billion mining giant BHP Billiton (ASX:BHP) found a spectacular new IOCG discovery 65km southeast of its mammoth Olympic Dam operations in South Australia.

And that was great news for a bunch of miners and explorers searching for IOCG type deposits right next door, including Argonaut Resources (ASX:ARE)Aeris Resources (ASX:AIS), Tasman Resources (ASX:TAS), Red Metal (ASX:RDM)OZ Minerals (ASX:OZL) and Cohiba Minerals (ASX:CHK).

Cohiba was the week’s biggest mover, with its share price doubling over the course of five days. It opened Monday at 0.6c of a cent and closed the week up 200 per cent to 1.8c.

Argonaut was the next best, rising 37pc to 2.6c, followed by Aeris, rising 33pc to 20c.

Shares in Mobecom (ASX:MBM) rose 38 per cent to 16.5c this week after acquiring a majority shareholding in Lakeba Group subsidiary Paid By Coins, a fully operational B2C solution for consumers to use their cryptocurrency to pay their bills or make direct payments to any Australian bank account.

Neil Joseph, Mobecom CEO, says there is great synergy between the platform and its existing products, particularly the Muulla and airBux platforms.

Air purifier stock Purifloh (ASX:PO3) was up as much as 47 per cent over the course of the week to $4.40 per share – an incredible 1,550 per cent increase over the last 12 months.

Purifloh’s killer run started earlier this month when American businessman Bill Parfet paid $2.40 for a stock that was going for about 50c.

Purifloh — which makes no revenue – has technology it wants to roll out in air purification, water sanitation, and medical sterilisation.

Intellectual property business QANTM (ASX:QIP) rose 22 per cent this week to $1.52 after it chose its future life partner: smaller rival Xenith IP.

The two companies announced a merger of almost-equals on Tuesday morning.

QANTM shareholders will own 55 per cent of the new company, and Xenith (ASX:XIP) shareholders will be left with 45 per cent.

Online retailer Kogan.com (ASX:KGN) finally enjoyed a good run after recently experiencing 16-month lows, rising 13 per cent this week to $3.20.

It closed a deal with Citi to create a Kogan Money Credit Card.

Details about the card, including interest rates, will be released when it is launched. Kogan.com couldn’t say when the card would be available only that it would be sometime in 2019 — that’s updated from “early” in 2019.

ASX small cap losers Month Day-Day

Shares in Eon NRG (ASX:E2E) fell back to earth a little this week, dropping 28 per cent to 1.3c after a mammoth 400pc run last week.

That was after sales revenue for October hit $US660,000 ($929,000). In the last quarter oil and gas sales revenue totalled $US1.2m, or about $US406,000 a month.

And Explaurum (ASX:EXU) shares were punished after mid-tier gold miner Ramelius(ASX:RMS) bailed on a takeover deal.

Explaurum told investors today that following a period of due diligence, Ramelius couldn’t improve the terms of its offer for Explaurum, which it started pursuing in early September.

Shares fell 26 per cent during the week to 8.9c.
