Today’s biggest winners are led by Raiden Resources (ASX:RDN) whose maiden diamond drilling program on the Vuzel gold project in southeastern Bulgaria uncovered near-surface gold mineralisation.

Results include 17m @ 1.13g/t Au from 1m, and 10m @ 1.18g/t Au from 7.7m.

MD Dusko Ljubojevic said the gold intercepts indicate the continuity of shallow gold mineralisation in the central part of the Vuzel prospective zone.

“This provides a very positive confirmation of the extensive geological potential the Vuzel licence area has for further epithermal low sulphidation style gold deposits, such as Dundee Precious Metals (TSX:DPM) Ada Tepe open pit mine, located 30km southeast of the Vuzel discovery,” he said.

“Planning is currently underway to expedite a follow-up drill program aimed at defining the full extents of the mineralisation within this potentially large system and to explore for potential higher-grade zones within the system.”

And Redcastle Resources (ASX:RC1) has flagged numerous shallow high-grade results at its flagship gold project in WA – including 10m at 29.16g/t from 6m.

The aim now is to continue the exploration program to extend the strike length of the near-surface known mineralisation, and to complete further RC drill holes to test the extent of gold mineralisation at other targets.
