THE WEEK AHEAD

This week will see more ASX small caps report their earnings for the past quarter – although the deadline to lodge was Friday some will only appear on the Market Announcements Platform today.

The RBA Board will convene tomorrow, and will decide whether to taper the bond buying program in mid‑September as originally announced in July, or to reverse it.

The Australian economic landscape has somewhat changed since the bank’s last meeting in early July, following the latest lockdowns in Greater Sydney and Victoria.

ASX IPOs listings slated for this week include Pantera Minerals (ASX:PFE) and Gold 50 Ltd (ASX:G50).

On Wall Street, companies that will be releasing their earnings this week include General Motors (NYSE:GM), Moderna (NASDAQ:MRNA), and Alibaba (NYSE:BABA).
