Good morning everyone, and welcome to 20 June, 2024 – an important day in the history of wars and other brutality.

It was on this day in 451 that the Battle of the Catalaunian Plains took place, which saw the might of Atilla the Hun defeated by the Romans – toga-clad, fond of feeding people to lions –  and the Visigoths, who were just like regular goths except they wore bright orange, instead of moping about dressed all in black.

On this day in 1752, Congress approved the Great Seal of the United States, which confusingly has a bald eagle on it.

And on this day in 1789, the The Third Estate of the French Estates-General swore the Tennis Court Oath at the Palace of Versailles, promising to climb over the fence to retrieve the ball any time someone hits it over.

Luckily for you, you won’t have to be conquered by a band of surprisingly cheerful goths in order to get the information you need before the market opens today.

Christian Edwards has toiled for literal hours to bring you an update to the population explosion of stocks on the Indian markets, and – as always – I’ve thrown together lots of fiddly little things below, so you don’t need to go ferreting all over the internet for your ASX info this morning.
