On Stockhead today,  WE HAVE IRON ORE. Also, The Candlestick is back and our Carl Capolingua has been doing some very big thinking about what will light the way for 2023, eh, and Cyclone Metals has acquired the world’s largest proven undeveloped magnetite iron ore project

But first, the day ahead…

TRADING HALTS

These have still halted. Maybe that’ll change this morning.

WHAT GOT EVERYONE TALKING

The ~20 ASX stock picks for 2023 (20!!) from the venerable Tim Boreham.

One of them: the high grade Canadian uranium play 92 Energy (ASX:92E).

“On only its fourth drill hole, the company encountered grades a 42-metre intersection averaging 0.62 per cent uranium oxide, including a six metre sub-interval at 2.17 per cent,” Tim says.
“In lesser jurisdictions uranium is measured in parts per million and 250 ppm might be a decent grade.
“The aforementioned 2.17 per cent equates to 21,600 ppm.”

Thanks for the 92 Energy mention in Stockhead “Tim Boreham’s 20 ASX stocks that are primed to run in 2023”. #uranium @92_energy https://t.co/8OSdFqGqh2

Lindian Resources’ (ASX:LIN) high-profile Kangankunde rare earths acquisition have delivered their maiden assays, and investors are loving it, Reuben writes.

The first two holes into the Malawian project, which LIN calls “a standout, globally significant rare earths project”, pulled up grades up to 11.8% TREO.

The mineralisation is also very thick. Rare earths were reported over the entire length of the 110m and 250m holes from surface, with both also ending in mineralisation.
