On Stockhead today, Josh Chiat is back with his very special edition of the half-a-billion club, yes, it’s our annual Monster or Mouse Day here at Incredible Central. Also: every month it’s getting cheaper to buy a house, and every month it’s getting more expensive to pay them off.

And Bevis reminds us we’re still an oily rag nation of investors so here’s some of the local energy stocks you need to get a whiff of before they go off. Get into it.

But first, the day ahead,

Four days ago –  the last trading day for 2022 – Carbon Revolution (ASX:CBR)  absolutely came out of nowhere, on absolutely no news, to go absolutely thundering up the charts since lunchtime, absolutely hitting +52% a little after lunch. Then four days of waiting while the (carbon) revolution was untelevised.

Should be interesting to watch today.

Likewise, Focus Minerals (ASX:FML) gave the ASX a last-minute pantsing, soaring 20% off the back of a quarterly report that gave investors something to read on an otherwise quiet slide into the festive season.

And WA1 Resources (ASX:WA1) also emerged (but not for the first time) from nowhere to tack on circa 19%, on reasonable volume and precisely zero news.
