Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: Whose dog is getting extra cuddles today?

Here are the key ASX small cap winners at lunchtime on Tuesday, May 21:
The ASX Small Ords was down 19.5 points or 0.69 per cent to 2,825.1 at 12.05pm AEST.
LBT Innovations (ASX:LBT) won big on Tuesday morning saying its half-owned joint venture Clever Culture Systems received FDA clearance for an instrument that can process 200 culture plates an hour and see which are growing bacteria. It was the last hurdle in order to start selling in the US.
CCP Technologies (ASX:CT1) was next up. It followed a sale announcement yesterday (shares up 60 per cent) with news that one of their low-temperature devices has passed Monash University testing (shares up 54 per cent). That suggests its disastrous foray into cryptocurrency last year and shedding of executives has been forgiven.
Botswana coal seam gas explorer Tlou Energy (ASX:TOU) was cock-a-hoop about being the preferred bidder in a tender to provide up to 100 megawatts (MW) of coal bed methane-fuelled power plants in that country. Its bid, placed in October last year, was for a 10MW plant.

Leading the losers, at least in terms of news, was construction company Acrow Formwork and Construction Services (ASX:ACF) which reported revenue growth, EBITDA growth, project wins, and being “on track to record its best recorded EBITDA full year result in its history”.
It dropped 16 per cent, so go figure.

Finally, F1 great Niki Lauda died today aged 70. Lauda was a three-time F1 World Drivers’ Champion, winning in 1975, 1977 and 1984, and still the only driver to have been champion for both Ferrari and McLaren.
He survived and came back from a massive crash in 1976, which saw him come close to death from toxic fumes inhalation and massive burns.
