Here are the key ASX small cap winners and losers at lunch Tuesday Sep 18:
The ASX Small Ords was down 16 points or 0.5 per cent to 2,816 at 12.40pm AEST.
GOING UP
Troubled gold explorer Dampier Gold (ASX:DAU) was up 47 per cent to an intraday high of 4.4c — its highest mark since since a spike at the start of April — after getting a takeover offer from Vango Mining (ASX:VAN).
Vango (ASX:VAN) has tabled an all-scrip takeover bid of two of its shares for every seven Dampier (ASX:DAU) shares, which values the target at 5.6c per share, or around $6.7 million – an 87 per cent premium to the 3c closing price last Friday.
Shareholders accounting for about 13 per cent have already agreed to take Vango’s offer and have signed pre-bid acceptance agreements.
Vango shares dropped slightly, down 5pc to 18c.
In the aged care sector, investors saw opportunity after related stocks plummeted amid a looming Royal Commission into the sector and a string of appalling stories of mistreatment aired by the ABC’s Four Corners program.
On Monday the four key ASX aged care stocks Estia, Regis, Japara and Aveo lost between 8 per cent and 20 per cent of their value.
But this morning all four opened 3 to 5 per cent higher.
Invigor (ASX:IVO) rose 133 per cent to an intraday high of 0.7c — its highest point since May — after it told investors its loyalty solution would be integrated into WeChat, the hugely popular Chinese social media and payments service.
Things had calmed down a little by lunch, with the stock back down to 0.5c.
The integration is part of a three-year deal signed with Winning Group, a partner of Tencent, a large Chinese company.
Shares in 3D printer Aurora Labs (ASX:A3D) were up 61 per cent to an intraday high of 67c after announcing it has the ability to 3D print complex parts at market speed.
The company’s 3D metal printing Large Format Technology achieved speeds of 662 grams an hour, or nearly 16kg a day.
Aurora says that puts it on track to be able to print 1,000kg a day with its Rapid Manufacturing Printer in the near future.

GOING DOWN
Cobalt Blue (ASX:COB) was down 24 per cent to an intraday low of 34c after its CEO Joe Kaderavek penned a letter to shareholders saying the company had received an independent review of its Thackaringa Cobalt Project.
“The review identified technical areas where further work is required prior to commencing the bankable feasibility study engineering study component,” Mr Kaderavek said.
