Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: Who’s smashing through the window?
News
Geese are taking over — from the Untitled Goose Game, and now taxis.
The BBC reports that a goose was so keen for a ride it smashed through a taxi window in Nottingham in the UK.
The animal was taken to a vet for a check-up while the unfortunate taxi driver has been left having to cover the costs of the broken window, the broadcaster said.
When a colleague asked if a call had been received about a goose flying into a taxi over the radio, we had to see it to believe it. Goose was taken to the vets & unfortunately the taxi had to repair the damage. We think he may be trying to find his way to #goosefair #randomjob pic.twitter.com/9eWCsjncZH

Not smashing it were local markets, with the ASX small ords and ASX 200 down around 1 per cent.
The promise of a “new gastro weapon” made Immuron (ASX:IMC) the biggest winner before lunch on Wednesday.
The reality — $5.5 million in funding from the US Department of Defense to develop a new oral drug targeting certain bacteria — is less evocative than the headline, but shareholders responded resoundingly nonetheless; IMC shares flew 124 per cent to as high as 23.5c, their highest point since mid-April.
Meanwhile Nelson Resources (ASX:NES) jumped 25 per cent to 8c on news it had applied for a mining tenement within the vicinity of its Socrates, Grindall, Redmill and Harvey projects.
