Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: who’s celebrating so far today

Here are the key ASX small cap winners and losers at lunch Monday November 19:
The ASX Small Ords was up 0.08 per cent or 2 points to 2613.1 at 12.30pm AEDT.
Stanmore Coal (ASX:SMR) surged 21 per cent after receiving a 95c-per-share takeover offer from Singapore-linked Golden Investments.
Stockhead‘s Tim Treadgold covered Stanmore back in September, noting that “it’s becoming expensive to continue overlooking coal as an investment”.
Stanmore operates the “Isaac Plains” coking coal mine in Queensland’s Bowen Basin and also has thermal coal resources.
Stanmore shares rose from 83c to $1 after the all-cash offer was tabled. The stock was trading at 97.5c at 12.45pm AEDT.
Isaac Plains was performing “above expectations” Stanmore told investors today — and would contribute to “underlying” EBITDA earnings of $130 million to $150 million this year compared to $45.6 million last year.
Baby Bunting (ASX:BBN) bucked a sombre retail environment, jumping 22 per cent today on an improved sales outlook.
The stock hit an intraday high of $2.42 before cooling to $2.21 at 12.45pm AEDT.
The retailer said EBITDA earnings for the year would be in the range of $25 million to $27 million.
That was up slightly on a forecast of $24 million to $27 million issued in August.
Total sales were up 17 per cent to November 15 — a slight bump on the 16.5 per cent figure reported after six weeks.
Comparable sales performance was running at 9.6 per cent to November 15 — down slightly on the 9.8 per cent announced in August.
The performance was encouraging given the tough times Baby Bunting — and other retailers — have faced in recent years. Even online heavyweight Kogan.com has faced recent sales pressure.
Kazakhstan Potash (ASX:KPC) got a kick today after it took control of a massive potash deposit in Kazakhstan.
The stock added 16 per cent to trade at 2.2c after the potash explorer told investors its chair and two directors had joined the board of the potash desposit’s owner Satimola Limited.
Kazakhstan Potash chair Madam Freada Cheung Kwan was appointed chair of Satimola. Terence Wong and Marco Marcou, who were previously appointed as Kazakhstan Potash representatives, joined as directors.
Four Satimola directors stepped down and Kazakhstan Potash’s directors now constitute the majority of the board.
The company made a play for Satimola in late October, offering cash of $US580,518 ($793,368) and to settle about $3.5m worth of debt.
The deal will only go ahead if Kazakhstan Potash amassed a 51 per cent stake in Satimola.
Crowd Mobile (ASX:CM8) lifted 18 per cent to 3.9c after reporting a expected 250 per cent jump in first-half revenue to $1.25 million for its recently launched media division. Total group revenue would hit $40 million.
Crowd announced last month it was one of just six Certified Partners for Snap Inc – the $12 billion owner of social media platform Snapchat.
“Crowd Media is pitching to large blue-chip companies, including a major global airline, and will keep the market informed of any material developments as they occur,” the business told investors.

After months of ASX queries, delayed accounts and a rotating boardroom door, Chinese wellness company Traditional Therapies Clinics (ASX:TTC) has called in the administrators.
Traditional Therapies appointed two directors, Grace Xi Zhang and Tiger Yu Tang, and Pitcher Partners’ Daniel Johannes Bredenkamp and Bryan Kevin Hughes as voluntary administrators.
The company has been bedevilled by problems since September last year, when the ASX began querying whether it was having problems repatriating money from China.
