Here are the key ASX small cap winners and losers at lunch Tuesday Sep 11:

The ASX Small Ords was up 19.7 points or 0.7 per cent to 2,819.3 at 12.50pm AEST.

GOING UP

Miner-turned-eSports-player Emerge Gaming (ASX:EM1) is up 20 per cent to an intraday high of 1.2c after it told investors it had gained access to 350 million potential new subscribers for its gaming platform ‘Arcade X’ in Africa.

Arcade X now has about 60,000 subscribers and revenues in five figures — but hope those numbers will rise after completing integration of its technology into major African teleco networks in Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Drug maker Medlab Clinical (ASX:MDC) gained nearly 16 per cent this morning on news that it had scored a valuable — and elusive — medical cannabis export licence. MDC shares hit an intraday high of 52c.

Among listed cannabis companies only Cann Group (ASX:CAN) also has an export licence.

The licence will allow Medlab to export two cannabis oral sprays: NanaBis a 50:50 cannabidiol (CBD) and THC formula, and NanaBidial which is mainly CBD.

Miner Cape Range (ASX:CAG) has enjoyed a fruitful return to the official quotation, gaining 39 per cent to hit an intraday high today of $2.09.

The company had been suspended since the end of July, after the ASX pinged it for an unexplained rise in the company’s trading.

The suspension was lifted yesterday after an investigation and CAG confirming it complied with Listing Rule 3.1.

Bass Metals (ASX:BSM) was up 17 per cent to an intraday high of 2.8c this morning after made a high-grade lithum find at its Millie’s Reward project.

The company delivered an “outstanding” 31m high grade intersection grading 3.72 per cent lithium from the project, it said.

Bass had yet to see early results from any other lithium discovery that compared to those at Millie’s, chief Tim McManus said.

GOING DOWN

Prairie Mining (ASX:PDZ) was down 31 per cent this morning to an intraday low of 42c on no news.

Back in April, the coal explorer launched legal action against the Polish government as it waited on environmental approval it needed before it could apply for a mining licence.

In March, Prairie told investors it was exploring possible co-operation with Polish miner Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa.

On August 28 the company was release a statement to the ASX addressing media speculation about “possible transactions” between the two companies.

Reuters reported late yesterday that the CEO of Jastrzębska might be fired.
