Lunchtime ASX small cap wrap: Who’s blaming the umpiring today?

Plenty of discontentment surrounding yesterday’s NRL grand final, which saw the Sydney Roosters beat the Canberra Raiders 14-8.

One of the top-ranking trends on Twitter however was #SixAgain, which captured fans’ annoyance at a refereeing decision that some believe cost the Raiders the game.

Local markets were celebrating, with the ASX 200 up 0.41 per cent and the small ordinaries up 0.34 per cent.

Going up

Positive trial results released three weeks ago continue to reverberate for Antisense Therapeutics (ASX:ANP), which is up 34 per cent this morning to 13c.

Early preliminary data from the phase II trial of its drug ATL1102 was positive.

An $11 million investment from $4.4 billion US healthcare solutions provider HMS sent shares in MedAdvisor (ASX:MDR) up 20 per cent.

NYSE-listed HMS provides technology and analytics solutions to healthcare funders in the US including more than 325 health plans, government agencies and other healthcare organisations.

The deal is expected to immediately extend the potential funders of MedAdvisor digital health programs to include US health plans and other health payers, MedAdvisor chief exec Rob Read said.
