Here are the key ASX small cap winners and losers at lunchtime Monday June 25.
The ASX Small Ords was up 0.3 per cent to 2,899 at 12.30pm AEST – still close to a ten-year high.
GOING UP
Neurotech International (ASX:NTI) kicked off the morning more than doubling its share price in early trade after the company announced strong results from its clinical trial for its Mente autism device.
Shares jumped to an intraday high of 24.5c by 12pm AEST — up from 12c on Friday.
Neurotech’s Mente device is in trials at the Carrick Institute. Data collection is due in February.
“Our results show that a short 12-week course of NFB [neurofeedback] using the Mente Autism device can lead to significant changes in brain activity (qEEG), sensorimotor behaviour (posturography), and behaviour (standardized questionnaires) in ASD children.
“Similar changes were not detected in the control group,” said the trial abstract which will be published in journal Frontiers in Neurology.
Gold miner Catalyst Metals (ASX:CYL) was ahead as much as 28 per cent on Monday morning with reports of “best ever” gold intersections at its Four Eagles gold project.
“Strong gold intersections were recorded over a strike length of at least 500 metres at Boyd’s Dam which will enable modelling of the mineralised zone in the top 100 metres,” the company told investors.
Catalyst shares saw an intraday of $1.40, up from $1.09 on Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Holista Colltech (ASX:HCT) also jumped 20 per cent on news its low-GI noodles have begun selling via retailer Amazon.
The company’s diabetes-friendly noodles and pasta products have a low glycemic index reading of 38, and will be available via the US and Canadian Amazon sites.
Shares in the business hit an intra-day high this morning of 7.9c, up 20 per cent.
Tin-copper miner Elementos (ASX:ELT) saw also saw gains of 20 per cent, up to 6c this morning on no news.
Investors last heard from the company last week, when it outlined a deal with Empire Tin Mining for a joint venture on a Malaysian tin project.
Intra Energy Corp (ASX:IEC) also hit an intraday high of 9c, up 28 per cent with no new updates released on Monday.

Monax Mining (ASX:MOX) lost 25 per cent this morning, down to 0.3c by 1.20pm after the company confirmed it had withdrawn from a joint venture project with Ramelius Resources for the Western Queen Gold project.
There was no news on the table for Oilex (ASX:OEX), but it was the biggest small cap lagger this morning, losing 33 per cent to an intraday low of 0.2c.
