Last Orders: What you might have missed on the ASX today

The Small Ordinary index of 100 small cap companies finished Wednesday on a positive note, gaining 22.5 points, or 0.77 per cent, to 3,082.2.

The Emerging Companies index of micro-cap companies also brushed off yesterday’s fall, rising 1.19 per cent to 1,887.9 while the ASX200 put on 47.9 points to 6,679.2.

Announcements

– Imagion Biosystems (ASX:IBX) fell 10 per cent to 13.5c despite announcing that its MagSense breast cancer detection technology is now open for human enrolment in its Phase 1 clinical study.

– K-TIG (ASX:KTG) climbed 5.66 per cent to 28c after reporting an increase in revenue for the December quarter to date. The company expects to record sales of more than $400,000 for the December quarter.

– Investigator Resources (ASX:IVR) rose 5.77 per cent to 5.5c as infill drilling at the Paris project returned a bonanza hit of 1m at 12,447 grams per tonne silver from 29m. Other results have increased confidence in the grade and continuity of silver mineralisation at Paris.

– Jatcorp (ASX:JAT) dropped 7.14 per cent to 2.6c despite entering into a 10-year sales agreement with Nightingale PS that is focused on placing goods with major supermarket and pharmacy chains in Australia and the UK.
