Stem cell biotech Mesoblast (ASX:MSB) ended a tumultous week on a high.

It told shareholders a key US regulatory committee reckons its RYONCIL drug has the capacity to be effective in helping patients experiencing complications from bone marrow transplants.

Cannabis data play Emerald Clinics (ASX:EMD) also finished the week off strong, following Monday’s news that it had broken into the UK market. It told shareholders July was a record month for the company’s clinical services in Australia.

Educational software stock 3P Learning (ASX:3PL) got a $189m a takeover bid from a bigger competitor.

In resources, today’s top winner was Cohiba Minerals (ASX:CHK), announcing it had received formal approvals to begin a drilling campaign.
