Among stocks with announcements, both Synertec Corporation (ASX:SOP) and Amplia Therapeutics (ASX:ATX) held their morning gains to close highest on the day.

Amplia showed evidence that when used in a combined treatment therapy on an animal model, its AMP945 drug increases the rate of survival for aggressive pancreatic cancer by 27%.

SOP provided a trading update on revenues and product development across its various tech and engineering units, and said it has increased the size of its workforce by ~50% since the end of last year.
