Gold play Alchemy (ASX:ALY) rose after observing a number of encouraging visual RC chip intersections from completed Phase one drilling at its Karaonie gold project.

Vita Life Sciences (ASX:VLS) rose after giving financial guidance for the first half of this calendar year. It anticipates sales between $23.5 and $24.5 million, up from $22 million in the prior corresponding period. Its profit is expected roughly in line with last year’s $4.2 million figure.

A number of other stocks gained with no news – one of the bigger ones being Audalia Resources (ASX:ACP).

 

LOSERS

Wordpress Table Plugin

Betmakers (ASX:BET) finished the trading day down 15 per cent. The company made a bid for the wagering business of Tabcorp (ASX:TAH).

Tabcorp acknowledged receipt of the offer but declined to form an immediate view on the proposal promising to assess it in the context of the company’s strategic review.
