US share markets weakened Wednesday with investors awaiting key inflation data to be released on Thursday (tonight). High inflation means the Fed may be forced to tighten its ‘loose as a goose’ monetary policy, which will negatively impact stock prices.

So far, markets are buying the Fed’s official line that booming inflation is only temporary, Jesse Felder writes.
