“I’m here live. I’m not a cat,” assures lawyer Rod Ponton as he struggles to deactivate a Zoom filter during a live court hearing.

“STOP KITTEN AROUND, ROD,” Judge Ferguson should’ve said, but didn’t.

The old boy blamed his secretary’s laptop.

“I was using her computer and for some reason she had that filter on,” Ponton told Vice.

“I took it off and replaced it with my face.”

To Markets …

European and US markets ended mixed yesterday, snapping a lengthy winning streak.

But money isn’t coming out of markets – it is just being alternated between sectors, Michael James, managing director of equity trading at Wedbush Securities told Morningstar.

That’s bullish.

Global oil prices rose again for the seventh straight day to fresh 13-month highs.

Both and iron ore and gold traded higher, as did base metals like nickel and zinc. Wins across the board.

After hitting 11-month highs yesterday the local bourse traded higher gain this morning, with the benchmark ASX 200 up 0.37 per cent by midday eastern time.
