The best performer was copper explorer Helix Resources (ASX:HLX) with an exploration update. The company reported intersecting massive copper sulphides including one of 29.5 metres.

Gold microcap Classic Minerals Ltd (ASX:CLZ) reported it had commissioned its gold processing plant.

Defence-tech play Electro Optic Systems (ASX:EOS) rose off the back of a revenue update.

And iron ore play Carpentaria Resources (ASX:CAP) struck a deal that would see it buy 24.149 per cent of Pure Minerals’s (ASX:PM1) Hawson’s Iron Project.
