The market opened strong again with 691 stocks up, 301 down and 1221 unchanged.

Welding-tech stocks K-TIG (ASX:KTG) climbed after announcing an MOU with Axiom Precision Manufacturing and fellow listee Bisalloy (ASX:BIS) to jointly develop what it calls “a sovereign capability” for the Australian Defence Industry.

In resources, today’s winner was former penny stock Latin Resources (ASX:LRS) which signed a joint venture with an Argentine investment group.

Also standing out was Zenith Minerals (ASX:ZEN) announcing drilling results at its Red Mountain project in Queensland.
