Stockhead’s Top 10 at 10, published at 10.15am each trading day, highlights the best (and worst) performing ASX small caps in morning trade using live data.

It’s a short, sharp update to help frame the trading day by showing the biggest movers in percentage terms.

The market opens at 10am (eastern time) and the data is taken at 10:15am, once every ASX stock has commenced trading.

Stocks highlighted in yellow have made market-moving announcements (click headings to sort).

The ASX fell this morning by just over 1% with energy and travel shares copping a hit.

Talon Energy (ASX:TPD) rose after an update on the Walyering-5 well which it holds a 45% stake in with Strike Energy (ASX:STX) holding the balance. Strike said final depth of 3,435 metres was reached and positive indications of the presence of gas and conventional quality reservoir was observed.

One stock that gained without news this morning was Biotron (ASX:BIT) which last week announced that its lead drug candidate — BIT225 — had been shown to be effective against COVID-19 in animals.

Metal Hawk (ASX:MHK) dropped off the back of an exploration update.
