Wellnex Life’s deal with Chemist Warehouse will bring the Performance Inspired range of products on shelves all over Australia and New Zealand.

Leading health and wellness company Wellnex Life (ASX:WNX) has secured a deal with Australia’s largest pharmacy retailer, Chemist Warehouse, to sell the nutritional supplements brand Performance Inspired.

Performance Inspired was founded by celebrity Mark Wahlberg and former GNC executive Tom Dowd.

The brand has so far released more than 58 health and wellness nutritional products in the US market, and caters to the everyday active lifestyle consumer and professional athletes.

The deal today will see the Performance Inspired range being stocked at Chemist Warehouse’s more than 500 stores across Australia and in New Zealand, as well as on its online platform.

Wellnex believes this extensive marketing will give the company a platform to generate both brand awareness and sales.

The nutrition and supplement market is one of the fastest growing segments in the health and wellness sector, with sports nutrition alone a $1.3 billion market in Australia.

Tom Dowd, CEO of Performance Inspired, was extremely pleased about the latest development.

“We’ve had large demand for our products in Australia and New Zealand, so Mark and I are very excited,” Dowd said.

“Julius Cohen, Zack Bozinovski and the team at Wellnex Life have partnered with the great retailer Chemist Warehouse, to bring our all-natural line of active lifestyle products to that market.”

Performance Inspired

Founded in 2015, Performance Inspired has grown to become one of the fastest nutritional supplements companies in the US market.

The company was launched by Wahlberg and Dowd, who was previously general manager of global supplements company GNC and brings more than 25 years of experience.

In addition to a high-profile entertainment career, Wahlberg is a health and fitness enthusiast who has gone on to launch a number of successful entrepreneurial ventures.

Performance Inspired built its market reputation with a focus on all-natural ingredients, steering clear of over-hyped health fads or supplement products with unproven nutritional value.

Wellnex CEO George Karafotias has previously said the Performance Inspired product suite fills a specific gap in the Australian health and supplements market.

Meanwhile, Wellnex is growing rapidly and earlier this month flagged an upgrade in its revenues – with FY22 revenues now expected to exceed $21m, up from the FY21 result of $18.3m.

Following on from today’s announcement, the company has also announced an upcoming investor briefing, to be held at 11am AEDT on Wednesday, October 6. Click here to book in.
