ASX-listed dairy stock Bubs Australia (ASX:BUB) has recruited celebrity Jennifer Hawkins to be its brand ambassador.

Hawkins burst onto the Australian show business scene in 2004 after being crowned Miss Universe Australia.

Since then she’s hosted Australia’s Next Top Model and run various business ventures from swimwear to real estate.

But for the next three years she’ll also be an ambassador for Bubs. Bubs will pay Hawkins an annual service fee as well as a bonus incentive payment.

Hawkins is no stranger to the ASX small cap scene.

Beauty clinic operator Wellness & Beauty Solutions (ASX:WNB) distributes her Jbronze range of tanning products.

‘Perfect role model’

Hawkins welcomed her first child last year and says she already used Bubs products before being approached by the company.

Bubs makes dairy products, including infant formula, sold both in Australia and overseas.

“The Bubs ethos of healthy nutrition and wellbeing perfectly aligns with my own values, which is why I am so happy and excited to take on this role,” Hawkins said.

Bubs CEO Kirsty Carr said Hawkins was the ideal ambassador for the company.

“Jen is a much loved Australian icon with her work as a popular TV presenter, international model and successful entrepreneur,” she said.

“As a new mum she is the perfect role model to represent the Bubs brand to new parents everywhere, including among her legion of nearly 2 million social followers.”

Bubs shares were slightly down in early trade but are well up not only from its March lows but its January 2017 IPO, which saw it list at 10c.
