First Graphene (ASX:FGR) is an advanced materials company at the cutting-edge of graphene and 2D related material developments. It has an environmentally-sound method of converting its supplies of ultra-high grade graphite into the lowest cost highest quality graphene, in bulk quantities.
Graphene is considered to be the wonder material of the 21st century. At just one atom thick, it’s the thinnest material known to man but also 200 times stronger than steel.
First Graphene has established a commercial graphene production facility for the bulk scale manufacture of graphene at competitive prices, developing graphene-related IP to generate license and royalty payments and working with numerous industry partners for the commercialisation of graphene.
KEY PEOPLE
Warwick Grigor - Non-Executive Chairman
Warwick Grigor is a highly respected and experienced mining analyst, with an intimate knowledge of all market related aspects of the mining industry. He is a graduate of the Australian National University, having completed degrees in law and economics.
Craig McGuckin - Managing Director
Craig McGuckin is a qualified mining professional with 26 years experience in the mining, drilling and petroleum industries. He has held senior positions in both private and publicly listed companies, and was a founding executive director of Rheochem Plc (name changed to Lochard Energy Group Plc).
Mr McGuckin has been instrumental in the development of FGR’s Commercial Graphene Facility (CGF) in Henderson, Western Australia. The CGF is arguably the world’s largest graphene production facility and produces a high quality, low defect graphene product.
Dr Andy Goodwin - Chief Technology Officer
Prior to joining First Graphene, Dr Andy Goodwin served as a business director at Thomas Swan & Co Limited, a private graphene company based in the UK. For five years, he was primarily responsible for the development and commercialisation of graphene products.
Based in First Graphene’s UK office, Dr Goodwin will play a critical role in expanding the company’s presence in Europe.
Peter Youd - Executive Director
Peter Youd is a Chartered Accountant and has extensive experience within the resources and oil and gas services industries.
For the last 25 years, Mr Youd has held a number of senior management positions and directorships for publicly listed and private companies in Australia and overseas.
