Moodagent is a music streaming service that specialises in interactive playlists and personalised music recommendations. It has proprietary methods for recognising emotional and musical characteristics of individual tracks.
Headquartered in Copenhagen, Moodagent’s point of difference is its interactive playlists, or “moodagents”, and personalised music recommendations which are reportedly driven by patented AI tech.
The company was founded two decades ago by Chief Product Officer Mikael Henderson, and Peter Berg Steffensen, its Chief Innovation Officer, and currently boasts offices in Berlin, Sydney, Delhi, and Mumbai.
The company’s goal is to be present in 25-plus countries by the end of 2023.
In this episode, Tom talks through the inspiration behind the business; how it has grown since launching in Australia; what people having been listening to during lockdown; its new video features; and what’s next for Moodagent in the years ahead.
